Celebration of Business
The Faribault Chamber is made up of close to 500 small businesses – representing nearly 12,000 employees. During the month of May we celebrate Small Business Month by honoring businesses in our community. Enjoy these photos from the Celebration of Business, May 11, 2017 Business Awards Luncheon held at the Faribault Golf and Country Club.
This year, we honored the following businesses at our Annual Luncheon:
2017 Large Business of the year
Celebrating 40 years in business this year, owner operator Ann Hofmeister. 35 employees in 28,000 square feet – Faribault Harley-Davidson covers all aspects of the dealership; motorcycles, clothing, aftermarket accessories, sales and service. They offer riders training, motorcycle rental, and contribute to the community in many ways. They host a HOG chapter, a women’s rider group and host many events at the dealership. In September they are holding a 40th Anniversary celebration that will really cause a rumble!
2017 Small Business of the year
Over 60 years in business in Faribault with a great history preceding that of furniture store in the family. 16,000 square feet of showroom space plus two local warehouses totaling 20,000 square feet – Erickson’s are a significant property owners downtown. With all that space they are able to showcase a large selection of furniture pieces and styles for any room in your home. From traditional to casual and from high-end to most affordable, they offer something for every taste and every budget.
2017 New Business Spotlight
Crack of Dawn is at 209 Central Avenue – next to Fette Electronics. Open for only one year and making a big impact. This new local hot spot is family-owned by Lori and Chris Momberg. It’s a bakehouse & farmer’s market-style shop. Everything is scratch-made daily, with real ingredients.
