The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce has received approval from the Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Rochester to operate an SBDC outreach site service Rice County. The SBDC provides free access to confidential, professional expertise and guidance that every small business owner needs to flourish in today's competitive business world.
Confidential services include Pre-venture services, business readiness assessments, start up business services, established business services, business counseling, seminars, and loan packaging. SBDC Counseling may include business plan development, financial analysis, marketing and sales analysis, record keeping and exit strategies.
The Rice County SBDC, housed at the Chamber office is committed to serving all of Rice County. Strategic meetings with including business, chamber and banking representatives have been held in Morristown, Nerstrand and Northfield, including participants from Dundas and Lonsdale.
The launching of the SBDC services in Rice County add another opportunity to help existing and emerging businesses face the challenges and realize the success of owning a small business.
