GOALS:
- to employ public art as a means to bolster tourism and thereby the economy of the Faribault Area
- to build community pride by preserving and honoring the history of our community in art
- to use art as a tool for bridging barriers of age culture and ethnicity further increasing community pride .
The Mural Society of Faribault welcomes your involvement.
Here are some ways you could help:
• Mural Installation Day
o Publicize and promote the mural installation
o Help with on-site public event
o Assist artists in installation
• Future Murals
o Locate suitable buildings
o Research community topics
o Review artwork submitted
o Help raise the necessary funds
• The Annual Recycled Art Show
o Contribute art work to sell
o Help price and sell items
o Work on the publicity for the event
• Mural Society Participation
o Work with small committee to seek grants
o Meet with community groups to promote murals
o Promote murals through the media
o Help staff Mural Society booths at community events
