The annual Faribault Main Street Fall Festival and Chili Cook -Off was held on Saturday, October 13. The air was brisk, but that didn’t stop families from coming out for fun and delicious chili!
The day included parade, henna, bowling, checkers, connect 4, ball toss, spooky basement tours, tic tac toe, pumpkin painting and other activities in addition to the trick or treating. Plus all of the delicious chili recipes!
There were 14 different chili recipes for visitors to downtown to sample. Ryan Knott of T-Mobile won the Chili Contest, with Boxers Bar and Grill getting 2nd place, and Pat Andreas Agency- Farmers Insurance getting 3rd place for the chili and winning best decorated.
Additionally that morning, the community was invited to partake in the Fall Frolic 5K Fun run/ walk, there was a free “Athens of the West” walking tour, and that evening was the annual Night at the Museum.
Thank you to the sponsors for helping to make this event possible, State Bank of Faribault and Faribault Foods!
