Faribault Harley-Davidson hosted the newly re-branded Chamber Mixer on January 18 and despite a snow storm, people were eager to attend. Guests were treated to learning about the history of the dealership, as well as several of the unique and rare bikes on display. Additionally, Ann Hofmeister demonstrated the safe technique to lift a fallen motorcycle and allowed several attendees to try as well. For those wanting the experience of riding, there was a station set up allowing people to set on a bike, start it, and go through the gears. Ann also spoke about their riding classes, clubs and events.
Bob Hofmeister (1917-2008) was the founder, having purchased the dealership in 1977 as a retirement career so he could share his passion for motorcycle riding with others. Bob was a talented machinist for over 50 years, and a talented motorcycle rider too. His business philosophy was always treat customers as you would want to be treated. Now into second generation, daughter, Ann Hofmeister continues that passion for riding and business philosophy.
