The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is proud to support the upcoming referendum!
Two questions will appear on the ballot, November 5th which will allow Faribault Public Schools to:
Switch to a seven-period day, which enables the district to offer students specialized electives in subject areas like: manufacturing, robotics, and engineering. (Faribault is the only district in the conference that still operates on a six-period day)
Provide students with schedule flexibility that gives them more access to innovative classes that are part of career and trade pathways, offer college credits and allow them to explore areas of interest
Retain students who may otherwise open enroll to schools that offer more elective options
Offer additional opportunities for academic and mental health support
Decrease the high school bus radius from two miles to one mile
