At the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce, our mission is to strengthen and promote our members by acting as business advocates and building community alliances. We are proud to highlight a new program from one of our valued members, HomeTown Credit Union, that does exactly that.

The “Swipe Local, Win Big” initiative is a year-long program designed to celebrate the small businesses that make Faribault, Owatonna, and Northfield unique. Throughout 2026, HomeTown Credit Union will feature a different trio of local businesses each month.

When you support these featured partners using a HomeTown Debit Card, you are automatically entered into a monthly drawing for a $500 prize. It’s a simple way to reward those who choose to invest their dollars back into our local economy.

As Chamber President Nort Johnson often says, we are constantly striving to “do well, do better, and do more” for our community. Supporting initiatives like this helps ensure that Faribault remains a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
